Tuesday – Vertical Board Kick

To add additional resistance to kick sets, have the swimmers hold their kick board vertically, this  will add resistance at the front making the swimmers have to work harder.

Warm Up

100 F/S Swim as 50 Slo-Mo, 50 Fast

100 BR/S Kick (K.O.B)

200 O/C Swim

4 X 25 F/S swim NB 1st and last 5m – NB 1st Stroke

4 X 25 Fly swim NB 1st and last 5m – NB 1st Stroke

Main Set 

10 X 50 (25 Kick FAST Board Vertical/25 Board flat steady) as:

6 x F/S @1.30

4 x BR/S @1.30

6 X 50 BR/S Pull as:

3 x without paddles @1.30

3 x with paddles @1.30

8 X 50 BR/S as 25 FAST/25 DPS @1.15 – first 2 50s with paddles

Cool Down

25 F/S Fast, 75 B/S EZ

He leads workshops across the Asia-Pacific region for the International Baccalaureate in the areas of pedagogical leadership and approaches to teaching and learning. Richard consults with schools on the topics of school improvement and effective implementation and use of technology.

Richard is a proud family man and feels lucky to be married to Kim and father of their son Austin.

In his spare time Richard enjoys to swim, bike and run and is a now retired football player and coach (with occasional guest appearances)
